He founded the Judaean dynasty and united all the tribes of Israel under a single monarch. His son Solomon expanded the empire that David built. 4 de jan. de 2022 · Answer. We can learn a lot from the life of David. He was a man after God’s own heart ( 1 Samuel 13:13–14; Acts 13:22 )! We are first introduced to David after Saul, at the insistence of the people, was made king ( 1 Samuel 8:5, 10:1 ). Saul did not measure up as God’s king.
Early Christians interpreted the life of Jesus of Nazareth in light of references to the Hebrew Messiah and to David; Jesus is described as being directly descended from David in the Gospel of Matthew and the Gospel of Luke. In the Quran and hadith, David is described as an Israelite king as well as a prophet of Allah.
