For more than a century, Bank Street College has led the charge to place students’ needs at the center of practice and policy in the field of education. Since our beginnings in 1916, Bank Street has been at the forefront of understanding how children learn and grow.
Bank Street College of Education is a private school and graduate school in New York City. It consists of a graduate-only teacher training college and an independent nursery-through-8th-grade school. In 2020 the graduate school had about 65 full-time teaching staff and approximately 850 students, of which 87% were female.

Bank Street’s Graduate School of Education offers more than 50 master's degree programs in teacher preparation, educational leadership, and child life.
