Scouting for Girls are an English pop rock band. [1] Their name is a play on the title of the 1908 Scouting handbook Scouting for Boys. The band was formed in 2005 by three childhood friends from London, Roy Stride on piano and lead guitar/vocals, Greg Churchouse on bass guitar and James Rowlands on drums. [2]
Scouting for Girls are a British pop rock band formed in London in 2005 by Roy Stride, Greg Churchouse and Peter Ellard. Stride met Ellard at Cub Scouts and he then met Churchouse at school. In September 2007 Scouting for Girls released their first album Scouting for Girls.

Sparked by the reflection that their ten-year anniversary caused, their fifth album sees Scouting for Girls looking back and feeling lucky. Friends since they were five, drummer Pete Ellard, Bassist Greg Churchouse and Roy have never changed to chase success. Success came to them.
It comes as no surprise to observe how Scouting For Girls’ music appears to reflect the band’s personalities. And in the case of the trio’s bass player Greg Churchouse, that personality is one of ebullience and a wide eyed innocence.
Scouting For Girls are an indie band, comprising Roy Stride, Greg Churchouse and Pete Ellard, and are celebrating a decade since the release of their self titled album which originally topped the UK album chart in September 2007 for two weeks.
