He’d been tipped the wink by longtime Van Halen producer Ted Templeman, who had also worked on Hagar’s last album, VOA. But it would be an unlikely figure who played Cupid and helped save Van Halen’s career: the guy who fixed Hagar’s car.
All Night Long (Loud & Clear in the UK) is Sammy Hagar's first live album, released in 1978. The album was recorded during concerts in San Francisco, San Antonio, San Bernardino, Santa Cruz and Santa Monica. All Night Long was not released in the UK until 1979 under a new title, Loud & Clear, and with new cover artwork.
VOA is the eighth studio album by American rock musician Sammy Hagar, released on July 23, 1984, by Geffen Records. In 1985, Hagar joined Van Halen and VOA was his last solo album until 1987's I Never Said Goodbye. The title is a reference to the Voice of America broadcast network. [1]
