  4. Biography. French pastellist and miniature painter, wife of Alexander Roslin. She trained in the studios of Joseph-Marie Vien and Maurice Quentin de La Tour. She was active in her first master's studio in the 1750s, and there she met Alexander Roslin. They married on 8 January 1759. She was her husband's model for the Woman with a Fan.
