Steriogram were a New Zealand punk rock band that formed in Auckland in 1999. The band consisted of frontman Tyson Kennedy (lead vocals and drums), Brad Carter (vocals, lead guitar and lead vocals), Tim Youngson (rhythm guitar and backing vocals), Jake Adams (bass guitar and backing vocals) and Jared Wrennall (drums and backing vocals).
Fatboy co-founders Tyson Kennedy and Tim Youngson also formed Steriogram, a Grammy and MTV Award-nominated international touring band. The band’s most popular single, “Walkie Talkie Man,” was famously used in the iconic iPod commercial. Tyson, who began styling hair at 15, developed his first hair care product out of necessity.
At Fatboy, our journey began with the fusion of music and hair care. Tyson Kennedy lead-singer of Grammy nominated band Steriogram, and Founder of Fatboy embarked on a mission to create exceptional hair products that could withstand the energetic performances when on tour.
