  6. Redmond, William Hoey Kearney (‘Willie’) (1861–1917), Irish nationalist and British soldier, was born 13 April 1861 in Grassendale, Liverpool, England, second son of William Archer Redmond (qv), and younger brother of John Edward Redmond (qv). He had two sisters.
