The Master of Fine Arts degree is for students who will have earned a four-year degree prior to enrolling at Juilliard. Each entering class of 18 is comprised of 8 to 10 BFA and 8 to 10 MFA students. Some BFA students are right out of high school.
The 4-year BFA Acting Program provides intensive training in movement, voice, the Alexander Technique, and other core aspects of the craft, allowing students to develop a comprehensive, embodied understanding of the actor’s work and to apply that understanding to a diverse dramatic repertoire in rehearsal and production.
