Cub (also stylized cub) was an indie pop band from Vancouver, British Columbia, that formed in 1992 and disbanded in 1997. They played a melodic, jangly form of pop punk they called "cuddlecore".
Cub are one of the bands that changed my life, and for me their best release is Hot Dog Day. Why? It’s perfect, that’s why! Any record with ‘My Chinchilla’ is automatically better than most records, and it’s not even my favourite song on the seven-inch.
Cub. Vancouver-based cuddlecore trio formed in 1992 by Lisa Marr, Robynn Iwata and Valeria Fellini. After the release of their first full-length, Betti-Cola, in 1993, Fellini left the band and after several fill-in drummers (including Neko Case) Lisa G. joined the band permanently.

We love cub. They brought the world happiness with their jangley pop songs about sunflowers, chinchillas, and flaming red bobsleds. To commemorate the girls’ cuddlecore legacy, we've re-released their tightest, their meanest, and, sadly, their final record, Box of Hair.
