St Aloysius' College is a comprehensive boys' day school with a co-educational Sixth Form in Highgate, north London. We welcome, educate and nurture students aged 11-18. A voluntary aided school, proud of its Catholic tradition and privileged to be the oldest surviving foundation of its kind in the Archdiocese of Westminster.
St Aloysius' College is a Roman Catholic, boys-only state school in the London Borough of Islington, England. Each year around 180 pupils are admitted to Year 7 (aged 11 or 12) on the basis of examination; the local education authority also assigns students without another school to this school.
St Aloysius’ College, a school steeped in history, has produced two senior members of the Catholic clergy in Archbishops Stack and Mc Mahon. There are many others with distinguished careers in Business, the Arts, Academia, Sport, Entertainment and Government to name a few.
We are privileged to be the oldest surviving foundation of its kind in the Archdiocese of Westminster. Many distinguished people have been educated here, two are currently serving Archbishops; Malcolm McMahon, the Archbishop of Liverpool and George Stack, the Archbishop of Cardiff.
St Aloysius College is a Catholic school shaped by the tradition of Mercy. Situated on Wakefield Street, our campus facilities provide excellent spaces for students to learn, create and collaborate while having access to the city’s resources for exciting and engaging learning experiences outside the classroom.
College became a fully independent school in the final quarter of the century. The College took the decision to accept girls in 1979, key to establishing the St Aloysius’ College of today. Early 2000s. With the 21st century came a sustained period of growth for the College and its campus.
