Oles Honchar Dnipro National University (DNU, Ukrainian: Дніпровський національний університет імені Олеся Гончара) is a public higher education institution located in Dnipro, Ukraine. It was founded in 1918.
Університет заснований у 1918 році, має 14 факультетів, 4 коледжа, близько 15 тисяч студентів та 70 спеціальностей. Університет співпрацює з понад 100 закордонними університетами, пропонує наукову, просвітницьку та мистецьку діяльність.
Learn about DNU, a classical university founded in 1918 in Dnipro, Ukraine. It offers 65 bachelor programs, 56 master programs and 35 PhD fields in humanities, natural sciences and engineering.
In 2018 the university was renamed Oles Honchar Dnipro National University. The university is named in honour of Oles Terentiovych Honchar. Honchar was a famous Ukrainian and Soviet writer, scientist and public figure. He also served in World War II and for a period of time was a member of the Ukrainian parliament.
