Miles of Aisles is the first live album by Canadian singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell, released in 1974 on Asylum Records. It is a double album documenting her concerts in support of the Court and Spark album with her backing band for the tour, the L.A. Express.
Robben Lee Ford (born December 16, 1951) is an American blues, jazz, and rock guitarist. He was a member of the L.A. Express and Yellowjackets and has collaborated with Miles Davis , Joni Mitchell , George Harrison , Larry Carlton , Rick Springfield , Little Feat , and Kiss .
These were the days before oppressive concert security, and I was able to find my way backstage during load-in where I met up with Robben Ford. We hit it off quite nicely, him being only 4 years my senior.
Miles of Aisles is a four-sided live album with a greatest-hits feel to it that collects 18 numbers from Mitchell's successful concert tour of last winter.

Robben Ford fondly remembers this tour, and places Joni Mitchell “at the same level of eclecticism and breadth of spirit as a John Coltrane or a Miles Davis” (Uncut, number 199).
