  3. Robert de Bar was the son of Henri de Bar and his wife Marie de Coucy. He was created Comte de Marle, comte de Soissons and lord of Oisy in August 1413. He married, by contract on 16 February 1409, Jeanne de Béthune, vicomtesse de Meaux, daughter of Robert de Béthune and Isabella van Gistel, by whom one daughter:
