Garibaldi Secondary School (GSS) is an International Baccalaureate World School for the IB Diploma Programme since October 2007. The first International Baccalaureate diploma classes started in 2008. Garibaldi is the only public school in Maple Ridge to offer the IB Diploma Programme.
Garibaldi Secondary offers a range of academic courses, enrichment programs and fine arts, business, culinary and sports options. It is an International Baccalaureate World School with pre-IB and IB programs for Grades 8-12.
12 de jun. de 2024 · In a social media post Tuesday night, School District 42 said Garibaldi Secondary in Maple Ridge would be closed as officials assess the damage and ensure the building is safe for re-entry.
Garibaldi Secondary is one of only three schools in BC to offer both the MYP for grades 8 to 10 and the IB diploma for grades 11 and 12. The MYP curriculum fosters critical thinking, global awareness and self-directed learning in all subjects.
