On October 20, 2014, vocalist Tyson Stevens was found dead from a heroin overdose at the age of 29. On September 29, 2019, Scary Kids Scaring Kids released a song titled "Loved Forever" to honour what would have been a wish of Stevens's 34th birthday.

22 de out. de 2014 · Tyson Stevens, the vocalist for now disbanded post-hardcore group, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, has passed away. The band formed in 2002, and after one EP, and two full-lengths, they called it quits in 2009. The band made two tours out here, one for Soundwave (2008), and a farewell headline tour the following year. Stevens was only 29.
