Lady Alice is the second child of David Manners, 11th Duke of Rutland and Emma Manners, Duchess of Rutland. [1] She attended Queen Margaret's School, York [2] along with her two sisters, Lady Violet and Lady Eliza. She is an older sister of Charles Manners, Marquess of Granby and Lord Hugo Manners.

Lady Alice Manners's 18th birthday was the perfect hybrid party of England and the Middle East: mini Yorkshire puddings nestling next to spinach and feta falafels, the Duchess of Rutland's mother Roma Watkins bellydancing and the festivities taking place in Belvoir Castle (as opposed to a Moorish palace).
