[3] The film follows the film Alison's Last Mountain (1996) about the death of his mother Alison Hargreaves twenty four years earlier on her descent from her second unaided summit of K2. [4]
The Last Mountain is a film about the tragic fate of two British mountaineers, Tom Ballard and Alison Hargreaves, who died on Nanga Parbat and K2 respectively. The film follows Tom's sister Kate as she returns to Nanga Parbat to honor her brother's memory.
