Jonathan Arthur "Chico" DeBarge (born June 23, 1966) is an American R&B singer and musician. DeBarge was formally a member of the DeBarge family musical group DeBarge . As a solo artist, he scored a 1986 US Top Forty hit with the song "Talk to Me".
This pivotal connection opened doors to encounters with industry luminaries like Kedar Massenburg, the former president of Motown Records, and Chico DeBarge. This culminated in a record deal, the inclusion of her song “Disco” on the Rush Hour soundtrack—earning her a platinum plaque—and her debut album “Black Butterfly,” which achieved Billboard chart success.
