Abhijan (Bengali: অভিযান, transl. The Expedition) is a 1962 Indian Bengali-language film directed by Satyajit Ray.

Summary. Ray’s favorite actor Soumitra Chatterjee plays Narsingh, a taxi driver. Narsingh is a proud and hot-tempered Rajput with a passion for his car, a vintage 1930 Chrysler. He recklessly passes the car of a powerful, local policeman and has his permit taken away.
Abhijan (The Expedition) Ray’s biggest hit in his native Bengal tells the story of Narsingh. When his taxi permit is revoked due to aggressive driving, Narsingh finds himself stranded in a small town with his 1930s Chrysler and slowly descends into a life of illicit trafficking.
