Students can apply to accelerate into a VCE subject at year 10, with the expectation that they complete a full VCE program in Year 11 (6 subjects) and Year 12 (5 subjects). The University High School offers over 40 different VCE subjects.
University High School has a scheme for willing, academically able students which allows them to potentially complete their high schooling in 5 years. The curriculum of years 7-10 is completed in 3 years.
