Luis Guzmán. Actor: Traffic. Actor of Puerto Rican descent who gained fame making many memorable films in the 1980s and 1990s due to his villainous physical appearance. Guzmán was born in Cayey, Puerto Rico on August 28, 1956 and raised in New York City's Greenwich Village and the surrounding Lower East Side neighborhood.
He is the vice chairman of the Selma Arts Council and served as executive director of LitHop, Fresno’s literary festival, from 2017 to 2019. The former co-director for CantoMundo, Guzmán is a professor of English at Fresno City College.

Juan Luis Guzmán is a poet, professor, actor, director, and community organizer who earned an MFA in Creative Writing from Fresno State along with a BA in English and a BA in Mass Communication/Journalism.
Juan Luis Guzmán has written for Poets' Quarterly, and his work has most recently appeared in CRATElit, Huizache, and Pilgrimage. He earned an MFA from CSU, Fresno. A member of the Macondo Writers' Workshop and a fellow of CantoMundo, he teaches writing at Fresno City College.
