As shown during the third series of The Osbournes, the background development of the show was beyond chaotic with many of the show's production team and Sharon clashing heads as well as celebrity guest being genuinely unhappy with everything. Sharon's overall unhappiness with the production crew lead to multiple arguments between the two, Sharon was often told to "work harder" and to do what the crew say they wanted, to the dismay of Sharon. Sharon was often unhappy and wanted to quit the show on multiple occasions, being kept on due to her contract which only went out once the show was refused a second season. Rivalry between the production crew and Sharon grew to a point that Sharon even allowed her dogs to defecate and urinate in their offices.
Sharon's behaviour was also problematic, with Sharon's impulsiveness making things difficult for the production and celebrity guests. Sharon would arrive late, forget names and make a series of mistakes during takes. Sharon was known to have been inappropriate towards guests, in such incident she asked a nineteen year old Mandy Moore if she had sex with her boyfriend, which prompted complaints from her family, the production crew and from other celebrity agents who in turn would not allow the celebrities to be on the show due to Sharon's behaviour.
The show as also slotted during times when more popular shows were on, resulting in a lot of viewers being lost during programming. Ozzy himself missed most episodes due to being unable to truly see the show. The low viewership meant that the production team often wanted to change the format/idea of the show, from a regular talk show to a show talking about makeup and/or people matters, while Sharon wanted to do her own thing.
Once the show was finally over, Sharon was only given an hour to collect her stuff and leave the studio which was already going into use. To Sharon's delight, she decided to steal many of the production's crew's equipment with assistance from Melinda and Tony. During the process of stealing equipment, some staff caught the crew and began to search through bags and vehicles. Despite this, Sharon continued to steal and even left a check and bill for food a supplies in the production crew's name.
