William Parsons (York, Yorkshire, 17 de junho de 1800 — Condado de Cork, 31 de outubro de 1867 [1]), 3º Conde de Rosse, foi um astrônomo irlandês (Reino da Irlanda). Na década de 1840, Parsons construiu o Leviatã de Parsonstown, que foi, por muitas décadas, o maior telescópio do mundo.
William Parsons, 3rd Earl of Rosse KP FRS HonFRSE (17 June 1800 – 31 October 1867), was an Irish astronomer, naturalist, and engineer. He was president of the Royal Society (UK), the most important association of naturalists in the world in the nineteenth century. He built several giant telescopes.
