Gerald Arthur James Balfour, 4th Earl of Balfour (23 December 1925 – 27 June 2003), styled Viscount Traprain between 1945 and 1968, was a British peer. Balfour was the son of The 3rd Earl of Balfour and Jean Lily West Roundel Cooke-Yarborough.
Balfour never married, and was succeeded according to the special remainders by his younger brother Gerald, the second Earl. He was also a Conservative politician and notably served as Chief Secretary for Ireland , as President of the Board of Trade and as President of the Local Government Board .
Gerald William Balfour, 2nd Earl of Balfour, PC (9 April 1853 – 14 January 1945), known as Gerald Balfour or The Rt Hon. G. W. Balfour until 1930, was a senior British Conservative politician who became a peer on the death of his brother, former prime minister Arthur Balfour, in 1930.
