The First Teacher (Russian: Первый учитель, romanized: Pervyy uchitel) is a 1965 drama film directed by Andrei Konchalovsky. It is his first full-length work, based on the book by Chinghiz Aitmatov.
With Bolot Beyshenaliev, Natalya Arinbasarova, Idris Nogajbayev, Darkul Kuyukova. Soviet Union, near the Chinese border, 1923. A stranger has just come in this little country village. He is a teacher, sent by the Communist Party to teach the ignorant masses.
