Formation and early career. The Call's original lineup was Been (lead vocals, guitar), Musick (drums, percussion), Ferrier (guitar), and Greg Freeman (bass). This lineup grew to include Steve Huddleston on keyboards from 1981 through 1983. Goodwin joined the band as keyboardist in 1983, replacing Huddleston.

The Call - Red Moon. After the big sounding (even by their standards) Let the Day Begin, The Call returned three years later with Red Moon, an intimate-sounding, organic record, particularly the use of rich organ passages in many songs.
Bono shares vocal harmonies with Michael on the album's first single, "What's Happened to You", which will be released to radio on September 12, 1990. Red Moon is a wonderful album and I think it's unique because it seems to be a real studio album. Well, these days that's a little misleading.
