The USC Thornton School of Music was founded in 1884 and dedicated in 1999. It was named in honor of philanthropist Flora L. Thornton following a $25 million gift from her foundation. The only programs with different application deadlines are “Arts Leadership” and “Popular Music Teaching and Learning” (May 1 final application deadline) and all Thornton minors (October 1, 2023 and March 1, 2024). Application deadlines for other processes are noted below.
