The River Line (stylized as River LINE) is a hybrid rail (light rail with some features similar to commuter rail) line in southern New Jersey that connects the cities of Camden and Trenton, New Jersey's capital. It is so named because its route between the two cities is parallel to the Delaware River.

6 de set. de 2004 · The River LINE runs mostly along a lightly-used freight railroad line that has been upgraded for passenger service with new track and stations. It uses self-propelled diesel-electric articulated cars built by a partnership of Stadler Rail AG and Bombardier Transportation. Similar cars are used on some European branch lines.
16 de out. de 2013 · The River Line is only the second line I know of to use a diesel powered car in lieu of the traditional overhead electrical power (the other one is the Ottawa ON line) in North America. Even being diesel powered, the cars are still quiet, and I have to admit, they do look nicer while running through the "downtown" areas.
