Richard Theodore Otcasek (March 23, 1944 – September 15, 2019), known as Ric Ocasek (/ oʊ ˈ k æ s ɪ k / oh-CASS-ik), was an American musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer. He was the primary vocalist, rhythm guitarist, songwriter, and frontman for the American new wave band the Cars .
Vastly underrated debut solo album of Cars prime mover, Rick Ocasek. Easily his best solo album, and other than the Cars 1st album Beatitude is as good as any Cars album - better than most. Yes, you can identify immediately that the year was 1982 from the record production.
