Andrew John Connell (born 26 July 1961) is an English musician and composer. Along with Corinne Drewery, he is part of the duo that makes up Swing Out Sister. Born in Manchester, England, Connell played in the Manchester post-punk band The Immediates, before joining new wave funk pioneers, A Certain Ratio.

Although Swing Out Sister are currently a duo, they began as a trio in the UK. The group was formed by Andy Connell (keyboards) and Martin Jackson (drums); they were later joined by Corinne Drewery (vocals).

5 de set. de 2022 · Over the course of almost four decades, Andy Connell and Corinne Drewery have recorded 11 albums as Swing Out Sister, the last one being 2017’s “Almost Persuaded.” They are currently working on a long-simmering big-band project, as well as new music and some surprising collaborations made during the COVID-19 lockdowns in the U.K.
