Mitchel Forman started studying classical piano when he was seven years old. He entered the Manhattan School of Music at 17 and began to work with New York bands. After graduating from MSM Mitchel began to tour and record with Gerry Mulligan. He played in his quartet and big band, as well as with Stan Getz.
