Victoria Marjorie Harriet Paget, Marchioness of Anglesey (née Manners; 20 December 1883 – 3 November 1946) was a British writer on art, an illustrator, and a member of the peerage.

Marquess of Anglesey is a title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. It was created in 1815 for Henry Paget, 2nd Earl of Uxbridge, a hero of the Battle of Waterloo, second in command to the Duke of Wellington.

Henry Paget was the son of Charles Paget, 6th Marquess of Anglesey and Lady Victoria Manners, the eldest daughter of the 8th Duke of Rutland, and was baptised with George V and Mary of Teck as his godparents. He was the brother of Lady Rose McLaren and the nephew of Lady Diana Cooper.
30 de mai. de 2024 · Dubbed the ‘Dancing Marquess’ for his voluminous silk robes (which, incidentally, served as an inspiration to designer Harris Reed for his 2020 collection), Paget existed for extravagance, until his untimely death at the age of just 29.
5 de mai. de 2023 · This particular piece was worn by Marjorie Paget, Marchioness of Anglesey at the Coronation of King George VI in 1937. She was photographed by Cecil Beaton looking suitably aloof for the occasion. It was then donned again by another Marchioness, Dame Shirley Paget, for Queen Elizabeth II’s Coronation in 1952.
