  1. Biography. George Ramsay, 8th Earl of Dalhousie was born c. 1730 the son of George Ramsay, Lord Ramsay and Jean Maule. He married Elizabeth Glen, daughter of Andrew Glen, on 30 July 1767. He was admitted to Scot's Bar in 1757 and was a Lawyer in Edinburgh. He succeeded his brother as 8th Earl of Dalhousie on 29 January 1764.
