James Whale (Dudley, 22 de julho de 1889 – 29 de maio de 1957) foi um cineasta britânico radicado nos Estados Unidos da América, melhor conhecido pelo seu trabalho em filmes de horror bastante populares, principalmente Frankenstein (1931), A noiva de Frankenstein (1935) e O homem invisível (1933).
James Whale (22 July 1889 – 29 May 1957) was an English film director, theatre director and actor, who spent the greater part of his career in Hollywood. He is best remembered for several horror films : Frankenstein (1931), The Old Dark House (1932), The Invisible Man (1933) and Bride of Frankenstein (1935), all considered classics.
James Whale (1889-1957) is best known for his classic horror films, such as Frankenstein, The Invisible Man and Bride of Frankenstein. He also directed musicals, comedies and war dramas, and committed suicide by drowning in 1957.
