Anthony Cyril Rudd (8 March 1923 – 22 August 2003) was a British engineer involved in aero engine design and motor racing, with particular associations with BRM and Lotus . Early life and war service. Rudd became involved with motor racing in the 1930s when he became an informal assistant to Prince Chula and Prince Bira 's White Mouse Racing team.

Under Tony Rudd’s direction, the Bourne-based team won the drivers’ and constructors’ titles in 1962. Upon leaving school, Rudd started an apprenticeship with Rolls-Royce and was soon heavily involved in the company’s war effort.

Tony Rudd had joined the team from Rolls-Royce as development engineer during 1951, and recalls that BRM was beset by lack of foresight. The original budget was too low.
