Edmund Fitzalan, 2nd Earl of Arundel (1 May 1285 – 17 November 1326) was an English nobleman prominent in the conflict between King Edward II and his barons. His father, Richard Fitzalan, 1st Earl of Arundel , died in 1302, while Edmund was still a minor.

Edmund FitzAlan, 9th or 2nd Earl of Arundel. Edmund FitzAlan was the son and heir of Richard FitzAlan and Alasia Saluzzo. He was born on 01 May 1285, in the Castle of Marlborough, Wiltshire. His wardship was obtained by John, Earl of Surrey and Sussex (whose granddaughter, Alice de Warenne, he subsequently married).

17 de nov. de 2014 · On this date in 1326, Edmund FitzAlan, Earl of Arundel was beheaded at Hereford for his support of King Edward II, during the rebellion of Queen Isabella and her lover Roger Mortimer. Arundel’s relationship with doomed king had not always been so fatally chummy.
