  5. Edmund FitzAlan, 9th or 2nd Earl of Arundel. Edmund FitzAlan was the son and heir of Richard FitzAlan and Alasia Saluzzo. He was born on 01 May 1285, in the Castle of Marlborough, Wiltshire. His wardship was obtained by John, Earl of Surrey and Sussex (whose granddaughter, Alice de Warenne, he subsequently married).
