Thompson-Hannant took another break after her debut to tour and write songs, which culminated in her sophomore LP, Field of Love. Released in 2017, it was met with more praise than her debut....
After releasing two EPs and two full-lengths, the last being 2017's Field of Love on Arbutus, she moved to Los Angeles and changed her pseudonym to Cecile Believe. She co-wrote and sang several tracks on SOPHIE's 2018 album Oil of Every Pearl's Un-Insides , and additionally sang backup vocals on Kero Kero Bonito's TOTEP and Time 'n' Place .

She's amazing and I've been obsessed with Field of Love, Made in Heaven and Plucking a Cherry From the Void. Also it's worth noting that Cecile didn't just do vocals for ooepui but also has writing credit for half of the album which you can totally see after listening to her own work! I love the interesting way she chooses to vocalize in her work.
