Frances Alice Blogg Chesterton (28 June 1869 – 12 December 1938) was an English author of verse, songs and school drama. She was the wife of G. K. Chesterton and had a large role in his career as amanuensis and personal manager.
Frances Alice Blogg Chesterton (1869-1938) was Gilbert’s wife for thirty-five wonderful years. She spent most of her life in the shadow of her larger than life husband, Gilbert Keith Chesterton. She chose to keep quietly in the background, letting her husband and others take center stage.

She was born June 28, 1869 and raised in London, a city girl who discovered she loved gardening and country living.
Nessa mesma época conheceu Frances Blogg, sua futura esposa. Ele, idealista e distraído; ela, prática e de fortes convicções religiosas, anglicana praticante. Enquanto Frances era ordenada, metódica, comedida e pontual, o marido era o típico gênio distraído, pródigo, desleixado com a aparência pessoal e sem ter idéia do tempo.
Em um famoso bairro de intelectuais – Bedford Park -, em 1896, Chesterton enamora-se de Frances Blogg, a mulher que pouco depois se tornaria sua esposa e que estimulou admiravelmente o caudal artístico do marido.
Numa sociedade em debate no Outono de 1896, conheceu Frances Blogg, a mulher que em 1901 se iria tornar Frances Chesterton. Com a ajuda dela, ele foi capaz de traçar o salto acrobático das suas intuições para a consistência da fé católica.
