Anthony Earle Peter Butler (born 13 February 1957) is a British bassist, best known for his work with Scottish rock band Big Country. He has also worked with On the Air , The Pretenders , Roger Daltrey , and Pete Townshend , among others.

Tony Butler is one of the original members of Big Country, a Scottish rock band formed in 1981. He plays bass guitar and sings backing vocals for the band, which has released eight studio albums and achieved worldwide success with hits like 'In A Big Country' and 'Fields Of Fire'.
