  1. Edmund de la Pole, 3rd Duke of Suffolk, 6th Earl of Suffolk, KG (c. 1471 – 30 April 1513), Duke of Suffolk, was an English nobleman and soldier.

  2. 2 de fev. de 2022 · Edmund de la Pole was born around 1471 at Cotton, Suffolk, England. He was the second son and third child of John de la Pole, 2nd Duke of Suffolk, and Elizabeth Plantagenet (sister of Edward IV and Richard III).

  3. Pole, Edmund de la, 3rd duke of Suffolk (c.1472–1513). Pole's mother was Elizabeth, sister to Edward IV and Richard III: Henry VIII's mother was his first cousin. Pole was therefore close to the throne, a dangerous position in Tudor times. He succeeded his father as duke in 1492 but because the family had lost estates was recognized as earl only.

  5. Edmund de la Pole, the 3rd Duke of Suffolk was the fourth son of John de la Pole and Elizabeth Plantagenet. He was the grandson of Richard Duke of York and William de la Pole the 1st Duke. Following the death of his eldest brother John at Stoke Field in 1487, Edmund became the Yorkist claimant to the throne.
