Dean Wareham was born in Wellington, NZ, but moved to NYC at age 14. He formed the bands GALAXIE 500 (in 1987) and LUNA (in 1991). After Luna played their "final shows" in 2005, Wareham released three albums as DEAN & BRITTA with Luna bandmate (now wife) Britta Phillips.
