The M.C Bat Commander (or MCBC or just MC) is the lead singer and leader of The Aquabats and the keeper of the power of leadership. He may not show it all the time, but he cares about his his team, and about helping the innocent.
In 1994, Jacobs, along with friends Chad Larson and Boyd Terry, formed the Orange County-based band The Aquabats, wherein he acted as lead singer and lyricist under the stage name of The MC Bat Commander (formerly "The Caped Commander" and "The Bat Commander").
The MC Bat Commander, fearless leader of The Aquabats, lead singer and all around swell guy has a penchant for saying the right thing at the right time to get the band motivated to action.

The current Aquabats lineup includes Jimmy the Robot, Ricky Fitness, EagleBones Falconhawk, The MC Bat Commander, and Crash McLarson. This lineup has stayed the same since 2006. The group's lineup has fluctuated significantly throughout their career, with founding members The MC Bat Commander and Crash McLarson as regular fixtures.
