Horris Hill is a small school, big on ambition! We are ambitious for our pupils, for our staff and for our future. Our small community is friendly and supportive and each child is educated with breadth and imagination in wonderful surroundings.
Horris Hill, is an independent day and boarding preparatory school for boys aged 4–13. It is located in Hampshire in England, south of Newbury in Berkshire and near the village of Newtown. The school was founded on its present site in 1888 by A. H. Evans, a master at Winchester College. It is located within an 85-acre estate.
We are ambitious for our pupils, their development, academic attainment and welfare. For over 130 years, Horris Hill has been committed to providing an outstanding education, in a nurturing environment where children can achieve consistently brilliant results.
Admissions. We are delighted you are considering Horris Hill School for your child and will help guide you through the steps. We are mindful that starting a new school can be an uncertain time for both parents and children, and we make great efforts to ensure that you have a positive and happy experience with us.
Head of Lower School. Laura joined Horris Hill in January 2023 and holds a degree in Business and a PGCE in Primary Education. She loves teaching English, and has a passion for sport, especially netball and running.
