French conductor, composer, and percussionist, Diego Masson was born in Tossa de Mar, Spain. He studied piano and composition at the Paris Conservatoire. Upon graduation, he joined the Domaine Musical as percussionist and began studying conducting with the group's director, Pierre Boulez.
Dirigent. Biography: Diego Masson studied at the Conservatoire de Paris, was a drummer with Domaine Musicale and founded the ensemble Musique Vivante in 1966. After his success as music director of the Marseille Opera in the 1970s, Diego Masson began his international career as a conductor.
