Neko Richelle Case (/ ˈ n iː k oʊ ˈ k eɪ s /; born September 8, 1970) is an American singer-songwriter and member of the Canadian indie rock group the New Pornographers. Case' contralto voice has been described by contemporaries and critics as a "flamethrower", [4] "a powerhouse [which] seems like it might level buildings," [5] "a 120-mph fastball," [6] and a "vocal tornado". [7]
The Virginian and Canadian Amp round out the bottom, but the thing about Neko is that it's like choosing favorite children sort of, I love her work because she's amazing, I could literally listen to her read the phone book and I feel so lucky to have been able to see her perform many times and to be alive while she's actively recording.
Neko Case steps out, cutting the sky and singing the stars, spinning fury and mercy as she goes. She loves the world and wears her heart on her sleeve, but she might eat it before you get to thinking it belongs to you.
