Joachim Heinz Ehrig (born 15 November 1951), better known by his stage name Eroc, is a German musician and sound engineer. He served as the drummer and band leader of the German progressive rock group Grobschnitt from 1970 until 1983. He also released five solo albums between 1975 and 1987.
Artist Information. Eroc is the solo venue for drummer/Synth player Joachim H. Ehrig who is or was one of the members from Grobschnitt, a German Symphonic Prog band, which was active in the 70's and the 80's. Eroc 's music is a mixture of Krautrock and Electronics and in his early soloworks you can hear Grobschnitt 's Symphonic influence.
Biographical information. Biography. Joachim Ehrig won a bronze medal with the coxless fours at the 1972 München Olympics, and was subsequently awarded the Silver Bay Leaf, the highest sports award in Germany. Ehrig was also among the crews that won the silver medal at the 1970 World Championships, and a bronze medal at the 1971 Europeans.
