Florence Ada Keynes (née Brown; 10 March 1861 – 13 February 1958) was an English author, historian and politician.
Her public career began in 1907 when she was elected a local poor-law guardian; she became chairman of the board in 1922. When in 1914 married women became eligible to serve as town and county councillors, Florence Keynes became the first woman councillor in Cambridge.

Florence Ada Keynes’ reflections on Maynard’s childhood suggest that he was precocious but polite. They tell of how he passed his time, from reading to collecting stamps. They show that she and his father would chastise him if he misbehaved but that this was not often necessary.
