Central Ohio Greenways. The Central Ohio Greenways are over 230 miles of multi-use trail providing opportunities for transportation, exercise and connection to recreational and cultural spaces for Central Ohio residents and visitors. They also preserve green spaces and promote habitat connectivity.
The Big Walnut Trail is a developing Central Ohio Greenway along Big Walnut Creek. In 2023, the longest completed section of this trail connects Hoover Reservoir to Inniswood Metro Garden. In the City of Gahanna, the trail brings users to Creekside Gahanna, a center for retail and restaurants.

The Lower Scioto Greenway Trail is a very popular route among runners in Columbus. Known as the city’s first greenway trail, it travels along the downtown riverfront, connects some of the most popular neighborhoods in Columbus, and serves as the trailhead for several parks including Scioto Audubon, North Bank, Bicentennial, and Battelle.
