Thomas Jefferson Randolph. Thomas Jefferson Randolph (September 12, 1792 – October 7, 1875) of Albemarle County was a Virginia planter, soldier and politician who served multiple terms in the Virginia House of Delegates, as rector of the University of Virginia, and as a colonel in the Confederate Army during the American Civil War.

Biografia. Os seus pais foram Peter Jefferson ( 29 de Março de 1708 - 17 de Agosto de 1757) e Jane Randolph ( 20 de Fevereiro de 1720 - 31 de Março de 1776 ), ambos de famílias de colonos estabelecidos na Virgínia há várias gerações.
Randolph Jefferson (1755-1815) was the twin brother of Anna Scott Jefferson and the only other surviving son of Peter Jefferson. He inherited land from his father, served in the Revolutionary War, and married twice, leaving a posthumous son named John.
