David Warren Ellefson (born November 12, 1964) is an American musician, best known for his long tenure as the bassist and backing vocalist for thrash metal band Megadeth across two stints.

7 de mar. de 2023 · Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine announced on Facebook on May 24 that the band is "parting ways" with longtime bassist David Ellefson. Ellefson and Mustaine are the only two original band members still in Megadeth, which formed in 1983, per Megadeth's website.
Biography. Ellefson started to play bass guitar because of its presence in heavy rock music. He then became an accomplished rhythm guitarist and honed his songwriting skills while leading several of his own bands through the club scene of North America's Midwest region.
